Actor headshots|Milton Oakville Mississauga Toronto Burlington

The best thing about being a headshot photographer is getting to meet some pretty awesome people and working one on one with them! When I met this young actor, I knew she would have no problems at all in front of the camera. She was absolutely charming, and had the bluest eyes that literally lit up for the camera! We took a number of photos, using several different backdrops, studio and natural lighting, and had multiple clothing changes. This is important in order to provide the agencies with a variety of looks (that don’t look like they were all taken within 30-60 minutes!)

For anyone looking at getting headshots taken (corporate, modelling, acting, or “just because”), my sessions start at $175 for a 30 minute session (including your favourite 5 digital files), and $275 for a 60 minute session (including your favourite 10 digital files). Makeup application is also available for an additional fee.

Corporate Headshots| Milton Oakville Mississauga

Many of my corporate clients come to me for headshots, having put off the process for a long time, and quite often dreading the idea of having headshots taken. Well, after the sessions, they frequently let me know that it was a fun, easy going and pretty painless process! A headshot session with me will take about 30 minutes, and I always try to get a variety of looks: different backgrounds, poses, smiles and more serious looks, and of course a change of clothing as well in order to provide a little variety! My headshot sessions are $175 + hst, and include your favourite 5 digital files which are professionally edited. There are some people who are just naturals in front of the camera, and this young actor was certainly that! From the very first shot, he was relaxed and responded very well to my prompts! The whole session took about 30 minutes, and in that time we went through 4 different shirt changes, several changes of location/background, as well as many different poses. This is important, especially for a model/actor, since the agencies are going to want to see a variety of photos. Here are a few of the final results! (Did I mention how much I enjoyed working with him?!)

This very talented young lady has been an actress and model with Carolyn’s Model & Talent Agency (Carolyn’s Kids) since the age of 2, and has been in lots of different movies, TV shows, shorts, including her most recent-Odd Squad! She’s also no stranger to getting her headshots updated, and I have been pleased to do this for her for the past few years! (Again, a lot of people ask whether it’s better to do indoor or outdoor shots. A lot will depend on the agency you are with, however in my experience both have been accepted. Last year we did outdoor shots…this year we did indoor due to the weather!)

Model and Actor Headshots | Milton Oakville Mississauga Toronto

Time to catch up on some of my posts! (If you have been following my website and wish to see what I have been up to, make sure you check out my Instagram page, which I update quite frequently!)

Lately I have been getting more and more requests for model and actor headshots in the GTA. I have worked with clients who have been in the field for quite some time, as well as those who are looking at getting started and who need some photos to develop their portfolio. When working with models and actors, I always recommend bringing several changes of clothing. This will enable us to get a variety of different looks, which is important for talent agencies. We also do a variety of styles, from studio shots (with strobe lights) as well as natural light, and sessions can take place either indoors or outdoors.

And now…introducing…

Reagan! Totally reminds me of Kirsten Dunst! She came to me several months ago for her portfolio photo shoot, prior to applying to a model and talent agency in Toronto. I was so happy to hear that she is now signed with Sherrida,! Check out her profile page here! I am certain she is going to have a lot of cool opportunities ahead of her!

After a long winter, the beautiful weather has finally arrived and with that comes outdoor headshot sessions in Halton Region! I recently had the opportunity to work with this wonderful couple, Ghada and Sean Davidson of Team Davidson (Remax). They wanted to have updated headshots (individual and team shots) for their social media, their website as well as their advertising needs. It was a cold day in October when I had the chance to finally meet and photograph this amazing (and very beautiful!) couple from Toronto.  We had been in communication for several weeks about their upcoming wedding in July 2015, and had decided to do a Fall engagement session at the picturesque Mountsberg Conservation Park in Halton Region. I always highly recommend doing an engagement session…it gives me a chance to get to know you as a couple, to get you comfortable with having your photos taken together before the big day, and it provides so many wonderful memories of this special time… Anyway, these guys were awesome…and even brought along their much loved pooch to be part of the photo shoot!  Here are some of the photos!

This has been a busy year for head shots, with more and more people looking for a professional image for their online presence-LinkedIn, Facebook, Houzz, corporate websites, etc. It certainly does make such a difference when you have a good solid profile pic for your business needs…and something that is unique to you!

I really enjoyed photographing this amazing woman, Amy Lin. Her list of accomplishments is quite spectacular.  Mathematician, math educator, author, frequent keynote speaker, TEDxTalks speaker, violinist, PhD candidate…the list goes on!  For more information on Amy’s work, please visit her website and check out her blog!
