Recently I have done several collaborations with a wonderful makeup artist/hair stylist from Milton-“Arisel Beauty”. These sessions are so much fun, as they allow us to get really creative with hair, makeup, posing, clothing, etc! Here are a few shots of Kristin!
The best thing about being a headshot photographer is getting to meet some pretty awesome people and working one on one with them! When I met this young actor, I knew she would have no problems at all in front of the camera. She was absolutely charming, and had the bluest eyes that literally lit up for the camera! We took a number of photos, using several different backdrops, studio and natural lighting, and had multiple clothing changes. This is important in order to provide the agencies with a variety of looks (that don’t look like they were all taken within 30-60 minutes!)
For anyone looking at getting headshots taken (corporate, modelling, acting, or “just because”), my sessions start at $175 for a 30 minute session (including your favourite 5 digital files), and $275 for a 60 minute session (including your favourite 10 digital files). Makeup application is also available for an additional fee.

Meet Ella. Ella is an avid competitive dancer, actress and model from Southern Ontario who came to see me for an outdoor portrait session. Her goal was to get some great headshots, portraits and dance shots for her portfolio. We found a quaint little spot with some gorgeous natural backdrops, and managed to get quite a variety of photographs in roughly an hour! I absolutely loved working with Ella! Are you interested in getting your child into modelling or acting, but not sure where to begin? Well, first of all, they will require some headshots! You will also have to check out different agencies around the GTA, to see which one is the best fit for you, make an appointment and then proceed with the application. I have worked with clients who have been signed with Sherrida, Carolyn’s Kids, Kamera Talent, Minor Details among others.
During my headshot sessions, I will work with your child to develop a variety of headshots/portraits with different looks; by varying the backgrounds, clothing, as well as facial expressions and poses. It’s important to capture some natural looks, to try to bring out their personality, rather than having fake, “cheesy” smiles!
I have two packages for headshots: the basic package is $175 +hst and includes a 30 minute session as well as your favourite 5 digital files. The portrait package is $275 +hst and includes a 60 minute session and your favourite 10 digital files. The difference is really that the second session would allow you more time for creating different looks for your portfolio. I work with professional equipment (of course!), and a combination of natural and studio lighting in order to create the best looks for your child.

When this little girl came into my studio for her actor headshots, I knew it would be so much fun to work with her! She was completely comfortable (and super cute) in front of the camera…and it’s no wonder, given her experience in acting and having two parents in the film industry! Can’t wait to see her work one day!

Loved working with this talented (and beautiful) girl! Earlier this year I was asked by Jameel (senior stylist and owner of Jameel De Stefano Salon & Spa in Milton) if I would be interested in photographing their hair models, prior to their annual White Party and fashion show, which I gladly accepted! It was a fantastic (and very busy) day, with a team of 5 stylists and makeup artists preparing 16 awesome hair models for the event!

There are some people who are just naturals in front of the camera, and this young actor was certainly that! From the very first shot, he was relaxed and responded very well to my prompts! The whole session took about 30 minutes, and in that time we went through 4 different shirt changes, several changes of location/background, as well as many different poses. This is important, especially for a model/actor, since the agencies are going to want to see a variety of photos. Here are a few of the final results! (Did I mention how much I enjoyed working with him?!)

Lately I have been getting more and more requests for model and actor headshots in the GTA. I have worked with clients who have been in the field for quite some time, as well as those who are looking at getting started and who need some photos to develop their portfolio. When working with models and actors, I always recommend bringing several changes of clothing. This will enable us to get a variety of different looks, which is important for talent agencies. We also do a variety of styles, from studio shots (with strobe lights) as well as natural light, and sessions can take place either indoors or outdoors.

Reagan! Totally reminds me of Kirsten Dunst! She came to me several months ago for her portfolio photo shoot, prior to applying to a model and talent agency in Toronto.
