Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Taylor! Brad and Danielle tied the knot during a beautiful ceremony held yesterday, August 26, 2017, in Mississauga, Ontario. They exchanged vows in the backyard of Brad’s grandparents…an absolutely lovely setting that was just perfect for the occasion! It was a gorgeous afternoon, and I loved witnessing the strong family bonds and the closest of friends who were all there to celebrate with the newly weds!

Actor Headshots| Milton Burlington Oakville Mississauga Toronto

There are some people who are just naturals in front of the camera, and this young actor was certainly that! From the very first shot, he was relaxed and responded very well to my prompts! The whole session took about 30 minutes, and in that time we went through 4 different shirt changes, several changes of location/background, as well as many different poses. This is important, especially for a model/actor, since the agencies are going to want to see a variety of photos. Here are a few of the final results! (Did I mention how much I enjoyed working with him?!)

This has been a busy year for head shots, with more and more people looking for a professional image for their online presence-LinkedIn, Facebook, Houzz, corporate websites, etc. It certainly does make such a difference when you have a good solid profile pic for your business needs…and something that is unique to you!

I really enjoyed photographing this amazing woman, Amy Lin. Her list of accomplishments is quite spectacular. Mathematician, math educator, author, frequent keynote speaker, TEDxTalks speaker, violinist, PhD candidate…the list goes on! Periodically, I like to feature some of my headshot sessions on my blog, as I think it’s important to see the results you can get when you spend 30-60 minutes with a photographer who is looking out for just one person at a time…YOU!

This (gorgeous) woman, Dr. Andrea Tricco, booked a headshot session with me this summer because she required several different shots of herself…for LinkedIn, for St. Michael’s Hospital where she works as a scientist, and for U of T where she is an associate prof. Not only that…but her work is also frequently published (often along with a headshot) in places such as the Canadian Medical Association Journal, CBC News, and the Toronto Star. So…as you can understand she wanted to have some nice head shots with a little variety!

Wedding bells are going to be ringing in just a few more weeks…and this time for a very special person. My baby sister. My “little trout”. All grown up. Just can’t believe it! She is marrying a fantastic guy who has quickly become a close member of our family…and that’s not an easy thing to do, especially when there are 4 older siblings involved that had to put him through the wringer! But he has passed all the tests, and he has proven to be nothing but a kind soul, a pure gentleman, and a perfect partner for our Emma. I am so excited to see Emma walk down the aisle in her gorgeous dress, and to start their lives together as newly weds.

Antonia Giroux Photography Weddings

It was a beautiful day in July that I got to spend with an amazing couple who had asked me to photograph their wedding. For wedding photography, you definitely want to make sure there is a connection between the clients and the photographer, because you will be spending a lot of time together… Well, that part was easy. Julia and Nathan are some of the most down to earth, caring people…and so fantastic to work with. The location was Halton Museum in Milton, Ontario. The ceremony was set to take place outside, and at the last minute it started to rain. Not a problem… Within 10 minutes everything was moved indoors for an intimate ceremony amongst close family and friends, and by the time it was over, the clouds had moved on and the sun was shining…a perfect beginning to an incredible evening and a lifetime of happiness.
